For-profit Colleges Concede Defeat on New Rules in Washington

For-profit college lobbyists wanted a provision by the House and Senate to de-fund ED’s for-profit rulemaking was not included in the final budget that will fund the federal government. 

Obama’s for-profit regulations affected some onlince colleges such as University of Phoenix.  It would strip schools of federal loan money if too many of their students maintain high loan debt-to-income ratios, among other provisions.
