Higher Ed Embracing Online Degrees in Pennsylvania and beyond

From a Harrisburg, Pa., (The Patriot-News) editorial about online education:

The traditional college-aged student is close to an expert when it comes to new technology because they grew up with it. Adding technology to broaden the learning experience would build on their previous knowledge. Kids socialize online and now they can learn.

“Education Statistics estimates that 18.2 million students will be enrolled in an online degree program by 2013 — up from 3.1 million in the 2000-01 academic year.”
