News Flash: Higher Ed Degrees = More Money, Less Unemployment

Here’s a striking graph from the Bureau of Labor Statistic on the value of an education. Surprise, surprise. Those with college degrees and higher degrees come out ahead in a recovering or a sickly recession. The graph says it all.

Still, what we’re interested in here at WiredAcademic is the online education and for-profit variable in this rose-tinted equation. Do these happy education stats play out the same for people with University of Phoenix or Kaplan University degrees? Throw in the hoards of smaller online degree programs, and we wonder how much this picture might change.
